The Stieglitz Circle
The Stieglitz Circle was created to help the Carter acquire important historical and contemporary photographs. Led by the museum’s senior curator of photographs, John Rohrbach, the group reviews potential acquisitions and applies most of its membership fees annually to the purchase of works for the museum.

$1,000 Per Person or Family Per Year
Members of the Stieglitz Circle are automatically entitled to general museum benefits at the Sustainer level.
Benefits are valued at $135
Beyond providing support for acquisitions, Stieglitz Circle members come together periodically throughout each year to share their passion for photography. The group meets to discuss trends in the photography marketplace, review prints, visit galleries and photography fairs, and share meals with artists and historians. In the process, group members exchange ideas about photographs and gain advice from museum staff on building and preserving their own collections of photographs.
