Passion for Birds, A: Eliot Porter (Book)

Looks at hundreds of photographic portraits of American bird species created by nature photographer Eliot Porter (1901-1990). He became a pioneer of color photography in order to more clearly differentiate species, focusing particularly on songbirds. He used innovative means, including huge tripods and scaffolds, and flash techniques to capture close-ups of birds around their nests. (Middle School (6-8); High School (9-12); College/Adult)
