Pictures range from the Mother Goose image in Humpty Dumpty and Marry, Mary, Quite Contrary to the famous Dinkey-Bird of Robert Browning's poem, the Pied Piper of Hamelin, and lavishly illustrated scenes from Greek myths and the Arabian Nights.
