Shows American sculptor Alexander Calder (1898-1976) with his miniature circus which he built in 1929 to amuse his friends. The Circus anticipated characteristics of his mobiles: a taste for fantasy and color, mastery of balance and volume, and the skillful manipulation of steel wire.
