The Amon Carter Museum of American Art’s nationally recognized education program serves as the classroom for two Education Department Interns each summer. Through a variety of independent and group assignments, the Education Department Interns learn in-depth about a variety of areas in museum education, apply their knowledge by helping facilitate museum programs, and begin developing their own philosophies of museum education. Interns receive a strong foundation in museum education theory and practice, while honing their professional skills in writing, speaking, critical thinking, and problem solving. These internships are intended for those individuals who wish to explore a career in art museum education. Internships are unpaid and do not offer reimbursement for relocation or living expenses.
