The collection contains approximately 130 works by other photographers, which were given to Porter by friends and associates during his lifetime. These items range from historical photographs by Eugene Atget to hand-made portfolios assembled by Ellen Auerbach and Jim Bones. Many of the prints are color landscapes and bird portraits given to Porter by photographers influenced by his work. Also found here are portraits of Porter. This group supplements a gift of approximately fifty similar images given to the Amon Carter Museum in 1988 by Porter.
