This
Eliot Porter Collection Guide was developed by the Amon
Carter Museum, with technical support from the University of North
Texas (UNT) College of Education, Department of Technology and
Cognition. It was created in association with Eliot Porter:
The Color of Wildness, an exhibition organized by the Amon
Carter Museum. This guide and the exhibition have been made possible
in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities,
expanding our understanding of the world, and by generous gifts
from Blum Consulting Engineers and BankOne, Trustee. Additional
support has also been provided by American Airlines.
Special thanks to Dr. María Victoria Pérez Cereijo, University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Mark Mortenson and Dr. Jon Young, University of North Texas, helped the project get started and assisted with its formative evaluation. John Rohrbach wrote
the text with the assistance of Alonso Sanchez. Steve Watson
digitized the images. Geoffrey Dare and Lisa Thornton assembled
the image titles. Sam Duncan assembled the library section with
assistance from Jane Posey. The archives section was prepared
by Paula Stewart and Karin Strobeck. The guide has been designed
and implemented with the assistance of Jesus Cereijo, Karen
Chase, Janice Craddock, Lori Eklund, Will Gillham, Christine
Hull, Philip Jones, Peter Keefe, Brian Schmidt, and Richard
Strittmatter.
Additional advice has been provided by Dr. Michael P. Cohen,
Terry Evans, and Dr. Sally Stein, consultants for the project,
Eliot Porter: The Color of Wildness (2002).
