New Parents Tour

Are you in need of mental stimulation and adult conversation? Pack up the stroller and join us for a tour designed to introduce new parents (with babies in tow) to a variety of artworks at the Carter. This free tour is most appropriate for parents with pre-toddlers, and refreshments are provided after the program.

Tour begins at the Information Desk. Reservations are not required, but we recommend that parents call 817.989.5030 to receive helpful instructions. Parents are encouraged to park in the lot on Lancaster Avenue, south of the museum, and enter the museum via the accessible ramp to the main entrance.

Sharing the Past Through Art

This free tour program is designed for adults with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Participants discuss artists, themes, and exhibitions while using artworks to connect to past experiences.

Call 817.989.5032 or e-mail access [at] cartermuseum [dot] org to make reservations. There is a designated barrier-free entrance near accessible parking for vehicles displaying the appropriate disability permits on Lancaster Avenue, on the museum’s south side.

Crafting from the Collection

Get crafty with a gallery tour featuring artworks that are invigorating, interesting, and inspiring for crafting. Crafters of all media are welcome, and refreshments will be provided after the tour. Be sure to send images of your finished project inspired by this program to webmaster [at] cartermuseum [dot] org. The submitted images will be displayed on the Carter’s Facebook page.
