Old West/New West

Educator Workshop
$12 for museum members and $15 for nonmembers

From Charles Russell to Richard Avedon, discover how American artists have depicted the American West throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Using the unique perspectives of artists in the Carter’s collection, explore which aspects of the West have changed over time and which have endured. This workshop is most appropriate for educators of all grade levels teaching language arts, social studies, U.S. history, and visual art. Refreshments provided from 4:30 to 5 p.m.
