What will YOU write?
The Obstinate Pen by Frank W. Dormer
(Recommended for homeschool students ages 5–8)
What do you do when your writing instrument has a mind of its own? Find out during the Little Readers Book Club! Prior to their museum visit, students should read Frank W. Dormer’s The Obstinate Pen, whose humorous exchanges and zany writing will keep the pages turning. At the Amon Carter, gallery teachers help students with writing and drawing skills by facilitating conversations that encourage careful observations and creative interpretations. Students will receive their own pencils to use at the museum and at home—they won’t be obstinate, we promise!
