Humorous Stories and Sketches by Mark Twain

Prior to their museum visit, students should read Mark Twain’s Humorous Stories and Sketches. These eight short stories are sure to keep Eager Readers reading and laughing as only Mark Twain can do! At the Amon Carter, gallery teachers connect characters and plotlines to artworks from the exhibition Navigating the West: George Caleb Bingham and the River and the museum’s collection. Students create their own artworks to take home—and that’s no joke!
