Film Screening and Discussion
During this program inspired by Philippe Halsman’s photograph Marilyn at the Drive-In (1952) on view in the Carter’s exhibition Masterworks of American Photography: Popular Culture, see the film Some Like it Hot (1959), and join the discussion led by Dennis Bishop, director of the Lone Star Film Society, about how Marilyn Monroe is a timeless image of popular culture.
