In conjunction with the exhibition Multitude, Solitude: The Photographs of Dave Heath, museum members are invited to attend a unique workshop that will introduce participants to the tradition of the photobook and give them an opportunity to make their own book. The program is divided into two sessions on two consecutive Saturdays and will feature presentations by Sam Duncan, Head of Library and Archives at the Amon Carter; Ting Huang, Associate Professor of Photography at Tarrant County College; and New York- and L.A.-based photobook artist Jordan Sullivan.
• Learn the history of the photobook by looking at classic examples from the Amon Carter's library.
• Discuss the photobook’s enduring power as a vehicle for presenting images and its recent explosive popularity.
• Look at the importance of content, format, sequencing, layout, and material choices.
Space is limited to 15 participants.
Fee: $150 for both sessions
