Itty-Bitty Art: Creative Movement

Program for families with infants 0–11 months

Bring your baby (up to 11 months) to the Amon Carter for an art-filled experience! Engage with Sarah Newton as she leads an age-appropriate creative movement session inspired by the museum’s collection.

Creative movement is an inclusive movement experience that utilizes the body to express an emotion, explore an idea, or discover new movement potential. In this session, you will move with your baby, discovering the joy and possibilities of movement in relationship to the elements of art.

Step back in time into the houses, gardens, and grounds of three historic properties in Waco, the city on the Brazos River that calls itself the heart of Texas. Built by affluent merchants and pioneer planters, these homes present distinct styles that give a broad view of mid- to late nineteenth-century art and design. We will examine paintings, architecture, furniture, textiles, and costumes on privately led tours of each property. Lunch will be catered by Olive Branch Bakery & Café at the McCulloch House.

Fee: $150 per person includes transportation, lunch, all fees and gratuities.
