At the Amon Carter

The Amon Carter offers an ongoing array of programs for its visitors, from lectures by visiting artists and scholars to extended education opportunities, family events, children’s programs, and a book club. Following is a list of current programs and activities. Admission is free unless otherwise noted.

Storytime

Families, wear green to the museum for this week’s Storytime featuring the color green! Listen to the stories Grandpa Green by Lane Smith, Art and Max by David Wiesner, and Lizette’s Green Sock by Catharina Valckx, then discuss related artworks. After the stories, create your own work of art while enjoying cookies and lemonade! No reservations are required.

Each week, participating children will be entered into a raffle to win all twenty-one books read at this year’s Storytime. The winner will be selected after the last program on July 25.

Storytime is held every Wednesday, June 6 through July 25 (excluding July 4), from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
