Itty-Bitty Art: Music

Infant Program

Bring your baby (up to 11 months) to the Amon Carter for an art-filled experience! Engage with Jennifer DeSantis, early childhood music specialist, as she leads a developmentally appropriate session that includes music-making activities inspired by the Amon Carter’s collection.

Musical activities include singing, instrument play, creative movement, and dancing. Caregivers will learn to recognize early music behaviors such as singing and moving, as well as how to utilize music during daily rituals at home.

Please bring a small blanket for your baby and be sure to wear comfortable clothing.

Registration for this program opens July 1. Call 817.989.5013 or email education@cartermuseum.org to register. When registering, indicate that you are interested in Itty-Bitty Art: Music.

Itty-Bitty Art programs are offered on the third Saturday of every month.

Itty-Bitty Art: Yoga

Infant Program

Bring your baby (up to 11 months) to the Amon Carter for an art-filled experience! Engage with yoga instructor Miranda Davis, as she leads an age-appropriate yoga session inspired by the Amon Carter’s collection.

Using artwork as inspiration, you will create a unique, playful, intimate, and joyful yoga practice. Enjoy deep breathing, simplistic yoga movement and postures, and plenty of time to relax and bond with your baby.

Please wear comfortable clothing and a baby carrier (front carrying) if you have it. Yoga mats and blocks will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Adventures Await You!

Storytime

Are you ready for a summer vacation? Then Storytime at the Amon Carter is the place to be!

This week, imagine all of the super fun activities that you can do during the summer. Bring your family to hear stories, look at art, and create something related to your favorite adventures! A snack will be provided.

During each Storytime, adults can register their participating children to win that week’s featured books. A drawing will be held at the end of each program; those chosen do not need to be present to win.

This program is best for families with children ages 8 and under and their adult companions. If you work for a summer school or day care, we offer a customized experience for your students on different days. Please call 817.989.5036 or email schooltours@cartermuseum.org for more information.

Storytime is held every Wednesday, June 7 through July 26, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The museum is unable to validate paid parking at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Parking information.

Sunset Cinema: The Birds

Outdoor Film

Pack a picnic, grab some friends, and watch Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller The Birds (1963, PG-13) on the museum’s lawn. Come early to save your spot, eat at a food truck, or take a tour of the museum.

Lawn opens at 6 p.m.; themed tour begins at 7 p.m.; film begins at 8 p.m.

Lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are welcome (lawn only). No glass bottles or pets please.
