There is a designated barrier-free entrance near accessible parking for vehicles displaying the appropriate disability permits on Lancaster Avenue (the museum’s south side). If these spaces are full, you may drop off participants at the museum’s Lancaster entrance and park personal vehicles and minibuses in the surface lots and Western Heritage Garage at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Samuel F. B. Morse's Gallery of the Louvre and the Art of Invention

Special Exhibition Tour

Gather in the exhibition space to experience a guided interactive tour of Samuel F. B. Morse’s iconic painting Gallery of the Louvre (1831–1833) along with a selection of works from the museum’s own collection that, like Morse’s painting, feature museum and gallery spaces as their subject matter. Though Morse is most widely known as a scientist and inventor, he was a leading artist of his time. Filled with his careful and personal selection of the Louvre’s finest works, all of which he painstakingly reproduced in miniature, the painting is a signal work of transatlantic exchange intended to connect American audiences with great European artworks.
