The Amon Carter is joining the Art+Feminism movement to help expand information on women in American art on Wikipedia.
We’ll have cookies from J. Rae’s, and participants will receive a free celebratory cocktail later that evening at the museum’s Sunset Cinema on the lawn, featuring Steel Magnolias.
All are welcome. You need only a laptop and a power cord, and we’ll help you with the rest! We'll have experienced Wikipedians to guide writers on Wikipedia editing policies and technical procedures. Editors will also have ready access to the library's near-comprehensive collection of research resources on American art.
If you have one hour or less, attend a training session and learn more about editing Wikipedia.
If you have 90 minutes, attend a training session and add citations to an article.
If you have two hours, attend a training session and add a well-cited paragraph to an article.
If you are spending 4 hours with us, consider drafting a new article.
