Avedon's Texas

Gallery Talk

Texas was central to the success of photographer Richard Avedon’s internationally heralded 1985 series In the American West. During this informal gallery talk, Senior Curator of Photographs John Rohrbach will explain what the artist found in the state that not merely encouraged him, but set the tone for the entire project.
