Throughout its history, the Amon Carter library, long regarded as one of the nation’s principal research facilities, has continued to acquire illustrated books to enrich the visual and historical context of related works of art from the museum’s collection.
Today, the rare illustrated book collections contain many of the finest examples of the literature of American art and Americana published during the past two centuries.
